Mass has had gay marriages, for at least 3 years, and it has made no difference.

The people in power would no longer have the sick right to feel superior to LGBT's. Without the feeling of superior others may also find the rest of their hidden flaws. Just like Larry Craig. It is not a weakening of society but a weakening who currently is in power.

There's no way it could weaken society. I would perfer a valid explaination as to how it would weaken society. There's nothing wrong with two consenting adults marrying and raising children in a loving and stable home. Good luck. 2D

Since I am not against gay marriage, I have no answer to your question. I do not believe that if any legislature PROACTIVELY chooses to legalize gay marriage, it will weaken our society.
But, on the other hand (yes, it's me again), I am dead-set against what happened in Massachusetts, i.e., the ruling by the state court. That was judicial activism. Yes, the "right-wingers" are correct about that point. Judicial activism is what it is, and it stinks, and the Massachusetts' court's ruling on the topic of gay marriage was judicial activism.

And judicial activism always weakens society. The fact that judicial activism has happened before and continues to happen is why so many people misunderstand the U.S. Constitution and the state constitutions. It is why I see people asking rhetorical questions like "Why is prostitution illegal? What right does the government have to tell me that I can't earn money by selling sexual joy?" The fact that I see people asking questions like that makes me feel very, very, very ill.

It wouldn't. Marriage and the armed forces are the only institutions I've ever heard of that people claim will be stronger by keeping others out of them!

It will weaken morally. If gay marriage is allowed than what next: Adults marrying children, pedophiles marrying children, people marrying animals? And don't ask why I put homosexuals into those categories. Everyone knows that homosexuals allow NAMBLA to march in their gay pride parades and that NAMBLA's members are men who want to legaly rape little boys.

The other countries that have legalized have not fallen apart or weakened their societies.

It would cause "big business" to have to give the same benefits to gay couples that they give to str8's. That would cost them more money. They're greedy basturds, so they don't want to spend money on us.
That's the only thing I can think of other than bigotry and hate.
