We all know the saying, "Knowledge is power." And I'm sure most of us will agree that is VERY true statment! But can knowing too much, be a curse of all that knowledge you obtain?

(Whether it be about the people you know and don't know. The society you live in. Or just really digging deep into human nature)

Because after all, the more you know, is the more you know. . . Take that for what you will.

So knowledge is power, but can it be a curse?

And if you think this is a stupid question you don't have insult me, Just move on please. . .

Another statement that comes to mind is "Ignorance is bliss." I say this because knowing too much can have adverse affects on your life. I find it difficult to enjoy my life at times because I know/think too much. This brings me many gray hairs and feelings of sadness. By knowing too much, you take some of the mystery out of life, which leaves a hole inside you. Yes, knowledge can be a power and a curse.

Knowledge can cause a lot of sadness in ones life, as it become that you know more than anyone else around you, and become isolated.

I know this because I have experienced it. From gaining a little knowledge about something, whenever a conversation comes up about it, you have had that convocation so many times before, and already know the answer. By telling those around you the answer, or the conclusion, you are branded as the one that knows all, and so therefore people stop talking to you.

Sorry if this answer was a bit vague.

The more you know, the more you realise that how little is that you know. And that is why the Indian wisdom speaks ofones head bowing at the weight of knowledge, it stoops at the weight of knowledge, they say, as the Pundit bows to all including trees and annimals in reverence!

Knowledge indeed is power, but what one does with that power is Dharma, Culture, and civilisation. One can make an atom bomb, and one also can make use of his power for the betterment of humanity.

Nature/God is indeed great. all good things are not given for the good of the individual concerned, but for the use of humanity. Take for instance the ability to sing. it is for the good of humanity. and all such gifts from nature/god.

Knowledge may bring sufferings to the knower, but it is a negligible side product in the front of a great cause. do not bother that. It shall bring sufferings when one is unable to convince others what he knows as the right thing, or truth. In such case, one must train oneself to convince others, and some will getr convinced indeed. Jesus did this, and you all know that, you do not need a Hindu to say you this.

And, importantly, Ignorance is certainly nnot bliss!!!!

Knowledge = Power
Power = Responsibility
Responsibility = Accountability
Accountability = Bravery
Bravery = Risk
Risk = Loss of Innocence
Loss of Innocence, in a strict biblical sense,was the original curse of mankind
Therefore: Knowledge = A curse

Absolutely. Think of a woman who finds out her husband is cheating on her. She now has the power to do something about it, but now she has to live with the betrayal, perhaps the breaking up of her marriage, etc. She is better off with the knowledge, but might have been happier if she'd remained ignorant of it.
