I have to do a BIG iron of all the clothes because I hate having crumpled close in my wardrobe

I find this the best method: keep up with the laundry, hanging clothes up immediately when the dryer stops. For those things that must be ironed, you can iron them as you need them the night before or in the monring, but this is only convenient if you keep the iron and ironing board out or in easy reach. Otherwise, I really enjoy ironing in front of a movie--then I get the work done, but I can also enjoy myself at the same time.

I iron in bulk, and I must be the only one on earth that actually likes ironing. I have a fast press iron (It works on the same principle as the pressers in the dry cleaners) only on a much smaller scale, and it means I can sit down whilst doing it. I have turned my spare room into a laundry room and have a normal ironing board and an Iron (which my husband uses) I'm from the old school I believe in sharing tasks.
and all the accrutrements required for ironing stay out all the
time.
This is what it looks like:

I iron as and when I need to, last ironing I did was - lets see - just before I went on holiday in 1997. Seriously, there are plenty of nice clothes out there that don't need ironing at all.

I figure this is a great way to save money, time and the planet.
Incidentally - I have never owned a tumble dryer either.

Its a shame that society dictates that its unacceptable to have a few creases in cotton clothing, to the extent that I won't buy cotton.

I iron in bulk. Can't stand un-ironed cloths laying about and certainly would not put away in the wardrobe like that.

I've done it in bulk, it's tiring! Keep in mind though that the clothes will be crumpled again once you shove it in the closet, so maybe as needed ironing is best.

Most of my clothing is actually of the no-iron variety. But sometimes when I need an item to look especially nice I will iron it. Meanwhile, I simply hang stuff up as soon as the dryer stops, and that's usually enough to stop wrinkles.

I try to iron in bulk - on Sunday afternoons. Usually I put a movie on TV and go to it - helps if I have a distraction and makes the time go quicker. I used to do it as needed, but then it felt like I was ironing all time time.

I have a room in my house called the "ironing room".

There are 6 clothes hampers for sorting the dirty clothes.

An ironing board and iron that is never is put away.

Starch, spray water bottle, sewing things, etc. are on a table.

We iron as we go.....just about every day.
