It's inside your computer. First turn your computer off, then open the tower of your pc and you'll see it in one of the bay's. It's attached to your mother board by cables and there should be other things in there too.
If a cd comes out of it it's not your c drive.
If you want the other way to locate your c drive it's in my computer and it should come up. If it's not there then it might be labeled something else.
A is usually floppy drive
B was the big 5 1/2" disks that are no longer used
C was the generic all around for your hard drive
So either it's mis-labeled, hidden (doubtful) or who knows.
don't worry cause if you didn't have a c drive your computer wouldn't work, let alone you be on yahoo answers asking this question.

If Windows won't even boot, your hard drive may be toast.
If Windows boots, try this:
If your machine hasn't completely given up the ghost, reboot the darn thing FIRST, then see if you can re-create the problem, taking careful notes on everything YOU DO AND SEE on the screen along the way. Write down any and all error messages you encounter and don't leave out any of the "techno-gobbledy-goop", because that's more important than anything you can say.
Then, we can try to help.

Clarissa.........oh....clarissa. I feel for you. You know how to use the computer but can't find the hard drive? It is as basic as asking what is 2+2. Anyway, here we go:
If you are in Dos, Type in C:\ and NOT C:/
Or, find under 'My computer" - if you are in Windows. Click on the icon, and you will find the list of connected hard drives, CD Roms, USB drives etc.

Drive c is your first internal hard-drive (or hard-disk). If you have Windows XP, click on the Start button in the lower left corner of the screen. On the pop-up menu, click on Programs, and then on ITS pop-up menu, click on Windows Explorer. On the list of programmes, folders, files, etc, on the left-hand side of the screen, click on My Computer - Local Disk C: should be one of the options which is then displayed. Clicking on it will display what's stored there.

Click on My Computer icon, it should be listed. If not, there is probably something wrong with Drive C: or you don't have a Drive C:.

The basic one is go to "My Computer" by pressing the start button. Then dbl-click C: drive
The other one: Open up Internet Explorer, then in the address bar enter "C:\" (note: Internet Explorer is probably what you are using to surf Yahoo! Answers
