I was in a car that went over a cliff. It was during a snow storm and some one had taken the signs off the road that would have prevented us from going over the cliff. There was a turn on the side of the mountain and the sign indicating the turn was not there. Fortunately no one was hurt but the car was a shambles. We went from all three of us chatting to complete silence. I can still hear the rumbling of the car as it hit the ground. We went back to the site in the spring after the snow melted and it was a blessing from God that the snow was there. We had a more solid landing than if the snow had not been there we would have all died for sure.

Lotus Esprit driven under a lorry at speed. Body in the car, head on the road. My daughter saw aftermath of something similar between motorcycle and articulated lorry. Road closed for several hours as they could not find the head - it was over 100 metres away in bushes.

I didn't see the accident, just the remains, but a semi-truck slammed into a small pick-up truck on the interstate. The front end of the semi was completely totalled and there was nothing recognizable of the small pick-up. There were about 20 police cars and traffic was backed up for almost two hours while they cleaned up.

Worst one I saw was mine hun. Three weeks ago on way into work Monday morning, Hit a patch of diesal and lost control of car, hit a van on other side of road, spun and then rolled over into a ditch ened up trapped and upside down. Then police car came and nearly did same thing but manged to get control as this happen 2 other cars hit the other side of road. Apart from some bruises and pulled muscle's I was ok, But may poor baby car was written off. Now I find it really hard to drive I am always scared that I will just lose control of my car!

I'm in the fire department. A guy was riding a motorcycle and a car came out of an intersection without looking. The guy ditched the bike, slid on his back, and slammed into the front of the car. His body was basically completely mangled, and we had to lift the car off of him to put him into the body bag.
Another one was when three kids were in a car drag racing, lost control, and hit a tree. We had to cut them out of the car. One was already dead. Another was literally crushed from his nose down to his stomach (he died on the way to the hospital). The third was completely pinned under the dashboard. I believe he was the lone survivor. All three, if I remember correctly, were under 21.

I shat my pants once ........ very nasty accident ..... a lot of fatalities ...... messy
Also saw someone chopped up by a train in Hungary once .... had to sit next to the decapitated head by the side of the tracks for an hour and 40 minutes waiting for the Hungarian police to finish their reports. It was 40 degrees celsius and there's no shade on the Hungarian plains ... that went down as a bad day.

certainly not the small one when all they needed to do was excahnge insurance details outside my work at lunch time where TWO police officers turned up!!!
One lady (slowly) cut the corner, a 'man' was coming in the opposite direction (also slowly) and she just clipped him. She took the blame, had adequate insurance, details of which on her. He was unharmed, the bike is merely scratched, yet he called the police???!!?!?!?!?
They moved the vehicles off the road and were not blocking any routes.
What amazes me more is if you are mugged in your home or something actually serious they take two days to arrive!!!

I didn't see this, but my mom saw an old man crossing the street and some crazy car plow him down like he wasn't even there, and killed him right there in the street. She said there were pools of blood and she had nightmares for weeks, she had to get therapy.
