I don't think so, but I wish/hope so. I think it is true, his voice just isn't what it was. Journey songs need quite a range and Steve doen't have that range anymore. But it's ok, he'll always 'have it' to me.

The recent reunions of Led Zeppelin, The Police and Cream have proved that anything is possible. Perry, however, has really withdrawn from the public sphere in recent years. He hasn't done a concert in well over a decade. His voice is a fraction of what is used to be. Furthermore, he's not that famous - which is why Journey has done just fine on the road without him. I saw Journey with Augeri a few years back and I talked with people in the audience who didn't even know the original singer wasn't onstage. The new singer will be some Perry sound-alike.

Not gonna happen. There's just too much bitterness there, and besides that, Perry's voice is shot. He was having enough problems on the Trial by Fire album, and now, it's a shadow of even that. I have the privilege of knowing some one who Perry has been writing with recently, and he said Perry is pretty much done as a perfroming artst.

***theantisocialista, news for you... Augeri is out of the band. He was replaced by Jeff Scott Soto on the last tour, and then Soto was named as the new frontman. However, just a few months later, Soto was told that his services were no longer needed; so now Journey is "searching for a new lead vocalist" which of course ignited all the Perry rumors.

No, no no...Perry didn't do any one any favors by destroying Don't Stop Believing at the White Sox Parade.

Jmike....I saw Soto in Grand Rapids and he was maybe better than Perry....they can always find a voice!

No. There is too much bad blood between him and the rest of the band. Also, the new singer sounds better live than Steve does.

Hope so I love Journey.

If he does, the vocals won't be the same. Steve gave it all when he was with the original success story.

I don't know but I sure would love it if he did.
