The speed of the air you are blowing on the wick causes such a cooling effect that the wax no longer turns to vapour. Thus the flame, which is burning wax vapour, goes out.

i dont know about blowing,but i once sucked the flame from a candle into my mouth.you should try it,it does not burn...honest
