You hit the nail on the head. I also see a general lack of work ethic, punctuality, and responsibility in the up coming generation. It's our fault as a society though, we're to easy on kids these days and let them govern themselves. What do we teach our young about the legal system? We show them that with a good lawyer you can get out of anything, even murder. People have ignored history and someday, God forbid, we will be plunged into another depression like our grandfathers generation and most will not be able to survive, let alone prosper. I raise my children different and I have never spared the rod. My kids are the worlds greatest and people even comment when we go out to eat about how well behaved and polite they are. I gives me a real sense of pride to hear other parents say that they wish their children would use such good manners at the table. We may not have a great deal of money, and we're redneck to the bone, but we is good people.

Every generation worries that the they're living in the age of rampant degeneration, that things were better in some idealized golden time.
Society evolves, what may seem ok today would have seemed unseemly a generation ago, but other things that are untolerable today were commonplace then.
Does it mean that society is worse today than in past years: yes and no. Some things are better, some are worse. It's all a matter of perspective.

Yes, PC is a problem, people honestly thinking that what they do does not effect anyone else etc...the whole country has turned into a me me me fest.
Update:
Just read sour girl for evidence of the me me me mentality.
I hear all the time how we should legalize drugs, how can someone think that crack house next door (that's now legal) doesn't effect the rest of us? It's gotten out of hand.

Yes you are right. Most people do not have morals and if they do they are very minor. I see people in public they are rude, and disrespectful to others. This society has turned into me society.
There is no honor anymore...fighting a unjust war is not honorable

Honestly...what moral fibre is left? I am definitely concerned, not so much for myself, but for our chidren, etc. (watch Glenn Beck, CNN Headline cable channel, 7 pm EST, weeknites).

Don't think moral is any worse than ever, common sense has disappeared. Politically correct has corrupted.
