She's been complaining of extra pain this month during ovulation. Normally she only feels it for a few hours but it's lasted 4 days now. It isn't very painful, mostly just an annoyance and is gassy too! She charts her temps and it went up today so she isn't ovulating anymore but is still feeling the discomfort. She will only go get looked at for anything unless if someone forces her to go! Like when she had a kidney infection, she kept working through it and still tried pushing herself with a temp of 103!! Should I make her go to the doctor or is it normal woman pain?

Some women do have pain during ovulation. I don't know why that is, and it depends on the woman. I have the same problem, and it can last for about three or so days. It is annoying and can make the times you're trying for a baby difficult. But you should have her see a doctor. She seems like she doesn't really like them much though - a kidney infection and working through a 103 degree temp? Are you guys going through anything to help her conceive? I'm talking medications/pills. If so, that could be causing the increase in pain. Also, have her mind what she eats during that time. It may be a longshot, but it could have an effect on it - caffein for example. Each person is different. If it gets worse in the next month, however, I'd definitely have her see a doctor.

Get her to the docs asap. A temp of 103 is not normal. She could have anything going on so it is best to check. MAKE her go!
IF she is in pain/discomfort the get it checked out. Glad you say she is not pregnant as ectopic pregnancy would spring to my mind if she is getting sharp pain in side.

Not normal if she is running a temp for more than 2 days and having these pains....Are the pains on her side or stomach??? Cause I worry about her appendix....I would go get checked just to be on the safe side..
I hope your wife feels better sweetie

i get painful ovulation pains and gas just like your wife. sometimes the pain is excruciating, but usually only every other month as only one of my ovaries is affected and alternate ovaries work every month. if i knew someone close to me was experiencing the pain i have, i would nag them to death to go to the doctors. i haven't been myself yet but think your wife should. i also think i should take my own advice and get to a doctor myself. best to be safe than sorry eh ?

Doesn't sound normal to me, but everyone's different. If the pain continues I'd take her to a Dr.

I'm a male but still have the common sense to know "if pain persists, see your doctor"!
