Want to buy my husband a metal detector for christmas- whats a good kind or model?

I can probably spend around 100 bucks- Iam thinking ebay will have something. I just dont know what kind would be best, or what make is best.

We live near revolutionary war sites, and right on the river, so one with atleast a water proof coil would be nice.

Garrett has in the past produced the best metal detectors, waterproof coils and all. It's not likely you'll get one for a hundred dollars, so perhaps try looking for a good used one on Ebay.

White is a good machine but we think Garrett is better.

Whites is the best in metal detection.. It will cost more however they are the best . Maybe a story near you can do layaway and you can pay it off.. I did that when I bought my son one for christmas.. Happy treasure hunting.
