OK, now let's all calm down. I agree with a previous response that we all say and do things in the heat of a moment that others may find unappealing! If the black community is so offended by the "N" word, then why do they say it to each other? It is a word, nothing more! I cannot even express myself because of offending another but anyone else can call me any name they choose? I am tired of the double standard. We are so busy raking people over the coals for not being "PC" when in reality everyone should look in the mirror. I listened to the conversation from the "news" worthy National Enquirer. It was part of a conversation that had the most inflammatory parts taken out of context. Should Dog be ashamed about a PRIVATE phone conversation with his son that was OBVIOUSLY taped to sensationalize a PRIVATE matter? HECK NO! Should whoever did the taping be ashamed? HECK YES! Dog has done nothing but turn his life around, get criminals off the street and give MANY others a 2nd chance. Why are we so willing to crucify him over a word? I say ***** please or biatch no or many other things to people. Expressing my mood or attempting to make a point does not a racist make. People spout diversity and acceptance and all kinds of things like that but a word does not reflect what is in the heart and soul of a person! Come on America, grow up!

I was soo shocked when I heard abut this!!!!!! But the thing is there not a trashy family at all, there heros. They obviously go out and catch people who need to look at there life again. They pray before going out on missions, etc. There family is very close, and loving. But no hero is perfect. When Dog was younger he made some bad decisions to smoke crack (teenager years), but than he did his time to help straighten himself out. Mostly every Bounty Hunter on that show has been in some serios problems. Beth for example had a child at a young age and had her child to be taken away. They have been influnenced by there parents (Who choose not to love them as they should). So yes, Dog smoked crack. But he doesn't anymore. Yeah, the story was about one of Dog's sons was talking to dog and dog refered to the son's african american girlfrined as a bad word, so people had the phone lines tapped and everyone was appaled. If you go on a website you can hear the conversation. Just google it. I am really very sad and dissapointed that such good people would do something like this. I hope he makes his right and the show comes back on very soon. Like I said: Nobody's perfect.

I always figured the "we sing gospel songs till dawn" stuff was for the cameras. At least being on crack is a good excuse for running off at the mouth?! I do enjoy his program so I'm sorry it probably won't be back. A&E can find another show to put on without dealing with the grief they would get if they put Dog back on the air.

He was convicted in the murder of a black man in Texas, back in the late 1970's. He certainly should be more sensitive to black people after this conviction.
He is a liar. He portrays himself as someone who has changed his life, and is a christian. But when I read his book he admitted to going on a 6 month crack cocaine binge back in the mid 1990's, and while he was a Bounty Hunter. This isn't the sign's of a changed man.

my grandma and I got into an argument over him today! She is sympathetic to him. I am tired of ppl doing stupid crap and then wanting immediate forgiveness for them being insensitive and dumb. Im not sorry for him he did something stupid. Like there are not enough words in the English language to describe something insulting toward other ppl??? On lack of creativity alone he should be shunned not too mention his being a moron. Im done with feeling sorry or giving forgiveness to these butt holes. How many times do u need to see someone go through this to realize maybe we should just Say something besides theN word. how hard is that??

no i cant stand him.....but the american public obviously loves him if he has had a show on tv for the last couple of years. this world is sick, every week there are new reality tv shows about something stupid, a new pointless bias competition, or stupid show with trashy people like dog and his family that comes out. i cant stand it anymore.

I would suppose that anyone has a place in the world!
Why not this man and his "trashy" family, lassie?
Therefore :
He, personally, has done nothing to offend me. I'll not pick up the first rock!

I haven't heard the "racial tirade" argument before and as far as his crack smoking goes he has never denied that he used to do it. One of the people that took the polygraph test was Dog's ex-wife (yeah no reason for her to lie..whatever) not to mention that this was a story that was published in a tabloid magazine (no reason for them to lie either right?)
Anyways, who cares? He and his family might be your idea of "White trash" but this is the man that went to Mexico knowing the trouble he would be getting himself in and brought to justice Andrew Luster who had raped 87 women. Now I know that might not mean much in your high class world but down here with the normal people (and the victims that Andrew Luster raped) it means a lot.
