Who the hell do these people think they are to protest and cause trouble at the funerals for these brave people who died for their country?
If it were up to me, I'd personally make sure that all of those protesters got early funerals themselves. Then I'd have a celebration right near their funeral party.

This is a free country and people have the right to protest, but I agree that there is a time and place for it. If they want to march on Washington, that's fine, but at these men and womens' funerals is not the right time or place. They should not only be sued, but jailed.

Protesting at funerals is cruel to the grieving family. Funerals are not the place to make political statements. This needs to be outlawed or allow the friends of the grieving family to punish the protestors.
These stupid people should protest at their state capitols or Washington D.C. Or, they could just vote against the politicians they disagree with.

I can't think of anything more offensive. A coworker of mine got back from Iraq several months ago (he was a combat medic). He attended the funeral for a friend killed in combat and there were protesters there. Although I believe everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, protesting at a funeral goes so far beyond good tast or common decency that I totally agree with your last paragraph. Let it happen to them (or let them attend a friend or relative's funeral where WE are protesting) and they can experience the pain of losing someone and having total strangers show complete disrespect. It disgusts me. I've been thinking about counter-protesting if they ever hold one of those events in my area. You made a very good point. Thanks for bringing it up for discussion.

I guess some people just don't understand that there is a time and a place for everything. Someone's funeral is NEVER the place for a protest. When people's views start to make them lose sensitivity, and common sense, they start to no longer be doing good for their cause, but harm. But, radical people will probably never learn that lesson.

It's horribly offensive. I heard on the news this morning that a church that sends out protestors to soldiers funerals has been sued and the plaintiffs won the case. Maybe that will help put a damper on some of it.

Yes, I think that people who deny the Holocaust are more offensive. But you are right, the people who protest at soldiers' funerals are extremely offensive.

diplomacy Coordinator Robyn Broughton says His Holiness incredibly wanted to have interaction with team and scholars. as a results of fact the flexibility of St David is constrained to 500 human beings, it became desperate to run a contest to opt for which team and scholars can attend – asking what question they could ask the Dalai Lama. the competition closes on Friday 19 April, yet Mrs Broughton says there has been an surprising reaction already from team around the campus. “we've had entries from around the board,” she says. “top from PhD scholars to senior administration.” And the questions cover a spectrum of subjects too. “There are fairly some around a thank you to realize stability in a hectic existence, fairly some around His Holiness’s recommendations around the function of tertiary preparation for youthful human beings, some around a thank you to stay effective, somebody has asked ‘in case you should be an animal, what could you be?’, yet another has asked ‘what's your popular youthful human beings memory?’.” the in simple terms top inquiries to be placed to His Holiness would be chosen via the national organiser of the Dalai Lama have faith, yet Mrs Broughton believes there will be mix of severe and greater gentle-hearted questions. Professor Mark Henaghan of regulation will facilitate the consultation and placed the inquiries to him.

Well I think protesting at a funeral like that is wrong but I also think to die for your country is a senseless death. To die like that can be avoided if countries had a more pacifistic approach of things and if foreign policy was different. That is what the motivation of these protesters is.....
