I've looked at Butterick, Burda, Simplicity and McCall and can't find what I'm looking for (find their clothes too nerdish)

I know this isn't really what you're looking for, but teach a man to fish and all that....! Get a book called 'Metric Pattern Cutting' by Winifred Aldrich. It'll show you an easy way to construct your own patterns, at which point the sky's the limit, right? You can get copies from Amazon, eBay and thrift stores if you're lucky :-)
