Your desktop will need a wireless network card because they don't come wireless, that's why they are desktops and not laptops.

You will also need a wireless router and to set up the connection using the manual or online instructions, once you have the required tools it's not usually that hard.

You DO have a wireless router. If not, buy one.

Then, read the friendly router manual (RTFM).
