If the ants are prepared and not alive, same with beetles, sure I would ... why not?

I bet most people would do it for $50. I used to eat bugs when I was small (yes, I was half-starved) and some are better than McDonalds. Potato bugs really don't taste like potatoes, though. Ants are kinda like really fresh Rice Crispies. Never ate a beetle that I can remember. No moths either--I am scared of them.
PS I'm vegetarian now!

I would in a heart beat. Am I allowed to put them in the microwave for a couple seconds?
Beetles no problem, can I melt some butter on them?

Well...it depends on the species of ant, and also the size of the bowl. If they are the small black ones sure, but if they are big, hard, and red, then no! Beetles...no way!

The answer would matter if they were alive or not, but 500,000 is a lot of money and people have done way worse for a lot less.
