There are 365.26 days in one year, but is recognized as 365 days, with 366 in every 4th year. The remaining .01 days are excluded from the calander and have been deemed as unnecessary by the scientific community. However, that extra .01 days has added up to 20.07 days, which would explain why it seems that winter has begun to approach more rapidly at the end of every summer.
