to let it all come out right away... Did any of you NOT do that, but still got pregnant?

I stayed laying down for 5 minutes or so but didn't really elevate my hips. We got pregnant after 3 months of trying - not sure if laying down helped - but I'm sure it didn't hurt!
Tons of people get pregnant everyday when they are not even trying so I'm sure they didn't elevate their hips - and they still got pregnant. It's just that when you are trying to get pregnant you want to do everything you can to up your chances.

I have 5 children and have had 10 pregnancies. I did elevate my hips and lay down for a while afterwards as we took a while to conceive our first child. Every baby thereafter was planned therefore we did the same with everyone.

I didn't follow the missionary position, and tried to elevate my hips right after (me on top) and didn't get pregnant in September, but in October, we tried missionary position and I kept my hips elevated and now I'm pregnant.
I don't think it was only that, I think it was also because we got the timing right this time around. I used fertility friend and taking charge of your fertility to figure out when I ovulate and we timed it just right.

Yes. You can still get pregnant and more ppl dont elevate their hips and get pregnant than not. We are designed to still get pregnant w out the hip elevation. I didnt and I got pregnant. Oh it ran out of me too. Everything you need to do the job gets in there at ejaculation

I got preggers this way with my first, I would lay on the pillow for 30 minutes or more, lol....to make sure
with my second, I didn't, we weren't even trying to get pregnant that time, but his magic worked.....
it's all about personal preference.....i mean look at how many ppl get pregnant, and weren't even trying, do you think they all lay on pillows or hold they're hips in the air for fun, lol....
i like to use the pillow under my butt because i always want to make sure his lil guys get there, but i know it isn't necessary.....word of advice tho ****Warning TMI**** (I use the pillow when we baby dance, and we BOTH enjoy it a lot better)

I have never done that... I am pregnant. The fluid isn't what gets you pregnant... it is what is in the fluid. The fluid carries the sperm, which is shot into you (sorry for not saying it more discreetly) at a high speed. The sperm are microscopic and will stay up there... maybe not every single one. If you really had to do that, you would have to lay like that until the sperm reached the egg.

That is such a placebo effect its rediculous. It helps women who are antsy about trying to make themselves pregnant relax, due to thinking theyre helping or controlling the situation.
All the sperm you need to get pregnant is shot through the cervix at the moment of ejaculation. No matter how long you lay around, or how high you elevate your hips no more is going to make it through. Its all going to come right back out when you stand.
Have sex, make babies, live life, its not rocket science to make babies. I promise.

Well I didn't with my first pregnancy (Which I miscarried).
This time we were trying for about 6 months and I didn't for the firt 5 months until the last time I last ovulated and I did it everytime after sex and I am now 4.5 weeks pregnant.
I think it is probably a coincidence but it has definately made me think.
Also I have heard that you should avoid sex with the woman on top but again this could just be a folkes tale

Funny you ask. My hubby and I are TTC and after we had sex last night he wouldn't let me pee, and he told me to lay on the floor with my butt against the wall and he lifted my legs into the air!!!!!! It was so funny, i couldn't stop laughing. But yes, you can get pregnant without doing any of these things.

Yes just got my BFP last night and this time I didnt do that any...I did lay there but didnt prop my butt up on a pillow or anything...
