its all about keeping up appearances with the religious right. the present one thing to the public but behind closed doors they're having sex with underage male interns and gay men. such hypocrites!
its actually quite sad because these are the people who are in the position to bring about change. they should start teaching tolerance for all people gay/straight all religions and walks of life, then they wont have to hide in shame because they like gay sex.
stop beating your bibles and teach acceptance for all.
(isnt that the american way?)

Yes, it is against their values. I think that's why they're such homophobes. They'd rather have bathroom quickies than admit that they are gay for some reason. I think if you look at the Christian right, that's the reason for all the secrecy. Those people will not support a gay candidate and that is a huge voting block. They won Bush the last election and probably his first term as well.
Edit:
Bert lmao!!!!!!

They are just exploited more by the media.
I am Republican and I have no problem with gays, I just don't think we need to start mandating that the books my children read about families to include 2 moms or 2 dads, instead of mom and dad. It's infringing on the values that I am raising my kids to have.

Go ask Barney Franks. He's a gay Democrat and will speak your language better.
Your use of the english language is atrocious. That should have been their values instead of there values. Their is a possessive pronoun. There indicates a position.
I'm sorry your public schools failed you.

Republicans come from all walks of life, including homosexuals. Democrats come from all walks of life, including homosexuals.
Why is it that when a democrat senator get cause in a gay affair, they praise him for his openess?
When a republican gets caught in one, he is black balled.
Isn't that a double standard?

Where's the bleeding-heart compassion for the human being, regardless of political background, who has been living painfully in the closet for their entire lives?
Are they hypocrites? Or, are they human beings deserving of your empathy for fearing how their peers would react or treat them if they "outed" themselves?
Which is it? I sure wish you'd make up your minds.

They are just pretending in order to get liberals to vote for them.
Not being able to control your urges and hiding in the closet is something liberals can relate to.

Have you seen Republican women? Just in Y/A they have to use pictures of dead porn stars to get anyone to pay attention to them.
I mean, here's the choice for Republicans. A big hairy man butt, or Ann Coulter.
Even though I refer to myself as a "Hetero Sapians" I would have to sit down and think 'er over a while, considering other points such as, "Is his adam's apple smaller than Ann's?", or "Does he have blue eyes?" that sorta thing. I don't think even my immature homophobia would allow me to maintain an erection in Ann's presence.
