I don't think any of us truly knows why we're here until we're gone.
But along the way we all impact people in some way or another. You've probably done something along the way and you didn't even realize how much it meant to someone.
Like this guy:
I was in the parking garage at my college getting out of my car and saw that the elevator had just stopped at the floor and opened. A guy got in.
"Great," I though, "Now I have to wait for it to go all the way to the top floor and back down before it comes back and I'll be late for class."
I grabbed my books and made my way over to the elevator. To my amazement the guy that had gotton in saw me gettin gout of my car and held the elevator for me.
This was over a year ago. I have no idea who this guy was and have never seen him again, but he really made an impact on me. I
t was an unexpected and incredibly nice gesture. It makes me remember not everyone in this world is out to get theirs. it makes me want to be a better person. All this, and I bet this guy doesn't even know what he did! So thanks, elevator guy, if you happen to read this!
You have to find your own path and reason for being. Whether you have a career, family, or other pursuit in life, make sure it excites you. Write up a list of 50 life goals. Each day is a way to get closer to whatever goals you have and make your family, career, etc. as good as it can be.
Life isn't always going to be good or easy, but it will always be there. So make the best you can out of every opportunity. Write down your goals, and cross them off as you accomplish them.
And along the way, hold the door for people. They'll thank you more than you know.
PS
I hate my job right now, but that's okay. I'm working on a bigger goal and this is just a means of income. I survive it because I know better things are on the horizon.

You have choices with whatever you do. If your boss gives you crap, then you can accept it, you can confront him or you can find a new job. It is not your responsibility to make others happy. Happiness comes within each of us . Your hapiness is within you. Learn to say no - and they will thrive when they realize that they could do what you would have done for them. Good Luck!

you are here to set goals for yourself and have something to aim for!
your here for what ever reason you want to be here for!
weather that is taking crap from your boss! that is your choice! no one is stopping you from looking for another job!
no one is stopping you from calling your boss out (just be smart about it) don't quit your crappy boss job untill you have another in the works and be nice when you call your boss out
bottom line life is hard but it's what you want to make of it!
i use to be a welcome mat for my boss and i always tried to make others happy!
one answer got it on the nose make yourself happy only one self can!
nothing in the world you can do to make me happy! NOTHINg give me all the money and power in the world that's still not going to make me happy! grant you i will have fun withj it but it's my choice if i want to be happy..
so i would rethink your life and what you want out of it sounds like your doing a lot of stuff for others and your not reping any benifits / is that what you want????
if the answer isn't yes then you need to soul search and get yoruself straight
