I have an Ebay account and so does my husband and our best friends. Very often I use my computer to check both mine and his accounts and sometimes my friends will check theirs when they are here. We always sign out after use. But, here's the weird bit, very often I will go on my account answering messages etc then refresh the screen and suddenly I'm in John's account or Gemma's. The same thing happens on my husband's PC. When it throws us into the other account it's actually in there - not asking to be signed in. I'm sure this should not be possible - all the passwords etc are different.
Any idea what's going on or how to make it stop ?

It's not an ebay problem...it's a cookie :)

ebay gives your a computer a cookie and remembers who was signed in. Never select "rememeber me" or "keep me signed in"...and don't let your friends select that either.

If your friends are going to continue logging in...which good friend do :)
Then just make sure to clear your cookies after they've logged on.
Go to your web-browser > Tools > Internet Options
And then depending on what version of browser, select Delete Cookies or Delete History.

I know this is the case, because we ebay...as well as our best friend AND my mother-in-law. They ALL log onto our computer!!!

It's not that you're refreshing your screen and all of a sudden you're logged in differently, it's that you're just realizing your logged in wrong!!!

Take Care, and Happy Ebaying!!! :)

Your all useing the same computer to access Ebay and when one of you sign on the site you receive a cookie so Ebay recognises you. Your computer allso rembers users and passwords so it is very possibel to sign out and anouther person uses that same computer to get on Ebay.
To prevent getting on one or the outhers account go to your control panel select internet options then delete files and then delete all broweser history and pass words, click and your ok.
