The cleaner that you use isn't as important as the method. The best way to not get streaks is to use as little product as necessary. Spray the cleaner directly on the towel and wipe on using pressure to scrub the grime away. Dirtier widows may take a couple of times to get all the dirt off. Flip the towel over to the dry side and go over again buffing away the streaks. Wipe in different diections on each side of the glass, so you know which side the streaks are on.

I've used Stoners Glass Cleaner for five yrs. with great satisfaction. You can find it at Walmart in the automotive section.
It sprays on much differently than most glass sprays. It comes in an aerosol can and sprays in a very fine fashon. You don't need much to do a streak free job.
Fold up some non-colored black and white news papers and wipe the cleaner till it's dry. It'll leave the glass so clean it looks as if it's invisable inside and out. Apply cleaner to both sides of glass to do a perfect job.

The best window cleaner I have found is Fuller No Drip Gel window cleaner. Cleans beautifully and doesn't run before you can wipe it off. It is put out by Fuller Brush Company. Their website is http://www.fuller.com/ You can order from that site. Click on Online Shopping, then Household/Consumer, then All House, then scroll down the menu on the right hand side of the screen. A little troublesome, but very worth it.

One of the better fluids I have found is just to use the windshield washer fluid used in the automotive washer fluid bottle. It really does a great job and is fairly cheap.
