DAMN MAN WHY YOU GOTTA ASK SUCH A TOUGH QUESTION SO EARLY IN THE MORNING

I've actually had a great time listening to both. Common's album, Finding Forever, was pretty short, while Talib Kweli's album, Ear Drum, had plenty of tracks. After listening to both at least 9 times straight, i have come to the conclusion that Talib Kweli's album is much better, even though common is one of my favorite emcees. Common's album only had 11 tracks excluding the intro. Ear drum had 20 including the intro (the intro was aiight). Also ive noticed both of them sorta went too commercial with the beats. I was expecting something more abstract (like Reflection Eternal), or with a jazz feel like common's last album, Be (my favorite). Common had also already had the song, So far to go, on J Dillas album, and this version is lyrically weaker. Other tracks just really arent that great, such as I Want You, Start The show, Driving me Wild, and break my heart. I did have a lot of favorites in this album though, that are one of his best, such as Black Maybe. With talib kweli, he had already performed Give em Hell, at the def poetry Jam, and it was upsetting that he put it in the album, but a majority of the album is great.

Ear Drum I believe was better than his last two albums, but Common i think took a step back, and didnt show me brilliance with Finding Forever, like he did in his last album.

Im going with Talib Kweli's album...Common wasted two tracks in the intro and outro...and I heard most of it before it came out...on mixtapes...Commons album was good...but Kweli's was better...

I don't listen to too much of that kinda rap but I will roll with Common. I like underground west coast murder gangsta rap. The kind of rap you blow a doe doe blunt to and then do a drive-by. Blood and Gutz all over tha room

I'll go with Ear Drum, I bump it all the time. Finding Forever was boring to me, I found myself skipping through all of the songs.
