Political correctness gone to far again.......Christmas is part of the UK and no it shouldn't change just because we are more of a multi cultural country.....when you live in another country you should except the different festivals religious or non religious. Ive moved to a country that is mainly catholic and I'm CofE but I don't complain.

Christmas is more than just a religious holiday. I know lots of nonreligious people who use it as a time to be with family and friends. If someone doesn't like Christmas they can choose not to celebrate; we shouldn't have to stop celebrating a holiday, that's been a part of America for many generations, just because it might offend someone. I have friends from all over the world and with all different beliefs and they, no matter what they believe, still enjoy the giving, family oriented spirit of Christmas.

First of all the question is not worded properly.........Christmas does not offend "other religions" but it may offend "other people" who are basically ignorant and self-absorbed.
Neither religion, Christmas or any other celebratory holiday in any religion or culture should be eliminated.
"Respect" is the most important factor! This is what people need to do, respect each others holidays & celebrations. If they can't deal with it than tough-luck.
Whoever finds religions or cultural celebrations "offensive" than they have the right to "ignore", but demanding elimination is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated.
By the way, I'm neither christian or celebrate christmas but I have no problem with christmas or any other religion, holiday, or celebration.

Hands off our Christmas!!! If anyone is offended they can go and live in a country where there are no Christians to offend them!!! As for multiculturalism, it all seems to be one way traffic.

Ummm, no. Then we'd have to get rid of other religious holidays that Jews, Muslims, and others celebrate...right? Wouldn't multiculturalism mean we recognize our differences, including religious observances, even if we don't agree with them. Even some Jews find Christmas to be a beautiful holiday even though they don't believe in Jesus as the son of God.

Not at all even though christmas started as a religious festival and still is celebrated by many as just that a lot of people such as myself celebrate it as a holiday and a time to spend with family. The problem with this country is that it is always trying to do right by other people when it should be coincentrating on its own issues. We wouldnt go to a foregn country and expect them to change the rules but everyone comes to the uk and wants it all. Keep christmas as it is and if imigrants do not like it, without sound rude dont come here, they should respect our way of life and if they cant live with it tough. We dont ask them over they just come, I think a lot of people like me do not have a problem with the imigration issue but do have a problem with the issues that come with it, and now a goverment think tank is wanting to downgrade christmas it just confirms that our country is gone totally mad. The british goverment needs to pull its finger out of its @ss and sort out issues closer to home with more important problems than a fat man with a white beard.

No.we are all entitled to our religious beliefs and no one should be offended. If they are shame on them . They don't have to participate. I am a Christian and I am celebrating the birth of Jesus. A wonderful day to remember Him.
I do believe that the commercialism and the money for gifts is way over-rated and not the true meaning of Christmas. That's commercialism for you and getting that almighty buck.

Why is it that when someone gets offended, we get rid of something? Why not include everyone? Instead of doing away with Christmas, add on other holidays; such as Eid, Diwali, Kwanzaa, the Jewish holidays, etc.
Allow people to view cultures through the joyous occassions. Getting rid of a holiday will only serve to get those who celebrate it annoyed. For those who don't celebrate it, they don't care. You can always chose not to celebrate it.
