You can do, but different pills effect people differently. I put on loads with Microgynon when i 1st started taking it when i was 16 and was switched to dianette, on which i lost weight around my thighs and waist, but gained 2 cup sizes.
On the Implant, i ballooned to 14 stone, despite continuously watching my food and excersise, so i went for 6 months without using the pill/injection/implant, just condoms, to sort my weight out...which i did, back to 12 now.
Ive now been put back onto Microgynon again, which i was warey about with putting on weight last time, but been on it 4 months now and not seen a dramatic increase.

My advice would be to go onto which ever pill you're offered, then if you do start to put on weight to a great extent, go back to your doctor and explain and see if there is something else you could try. Its all a bit hit and miss i'm afraid.

I put on probably 15 pounds when I started the pill and I work out consistantly. Not everyone is the same though, some people actually manage to lose weight! I would be careful and make sure you watch what you eat and work out routinely though.

The side effects are different for everyone. Personally, I didn't put on any weight from being on the pill.

you in many cases benefit weight once you're on the pill, and lose it once you come back off. as a results of fact the greater hormones make you hungry. you won't be in a position to perceive-cut back yet once you consume a healthful nutrition habitual with a great form of fruit and veg and get exercising, the greater pounds will pass.

Yes, some can gain weight. That weight though is mostly water because of the hormones in the medication. I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
