hi. i lived in bromsgrove between 1993 and 2001 and am planning on moving back in the near future.
it depends what age you are and what facilities you want from a town, as to whether you d like it there.
its a small town, with a old fashioned town centre, with traditional shops like bakers and delicatessens, but also a good mix of modern shops such as woolworths, boots, mothercare, new look, blockbuster. there are a few good modern hairdressers and great pubs and restaurants. it has a large asda supermarket, market hall, a leisure centre with swimming pool, with slides and a fully fitted out gym. theres a great park with a duck pond, skate park and large newly refitted childrens play area. there are good schools for all ages of children, sidemoor 1st school is newly built modern school, the middle and high school receive good exam pass rates as well.
bromsgrove has good motorway links and is nearby to redditch (8m) and birmingham (16m) there are also good rail links to birmingham and worcester.
having been brought up in redditch i chose to move to bromsgrove when i had children as its nicer and quieter.
id definately recommend living there, as i said im planning on moving back asap.
if you need any specific advice or help let me know as i know the area well.
clare

I lived in Bromsgrove for 4 years, it is a nice town, Unfortunately I had to move to Redditch, and I hated it there, with all those houses that look like "little boxes made of ticky tacky". I now live in a lovely rural village in Cornwall, but if I had to move back up country, I would move back to Bromsgrove.

It's a nice town with plenty of bars and restaurants, not too far from Redditch if you want a really good night out. My dad lives in Catshill just outside of Bromsgrove.

Its a small town, with a country like atmosphere, I'm more of a big city type of person, this place is really the ooposite of that.
