why wouldnt they pass a bill that would help poor children or families that dont have enough for medical insurance?
Instead they want190 billion for war?
Where are the CHRISTian priorities when it comes to republicans and anything that helps other people?

Your question is: Do Republicans believe in GOD? I would say some do....and some don't.

There are people that believe in God in every party, and also ones that don't. It is unfortunate that Christ gets blamed for what man does and doesn't do whether Republican, Democrat or otherwise.
The government of the USA is supposed to protect our God given rights and provide protection from our enemies. It doesn't matter if we agree with the war or not, US citizens and their representative on both sides of the aisle voted it in, and have thus far not been able to stop it.
In truth it is the job of the Christian church to provide for the poor, the widows and those in jail. (See links below) I think it would be best to check with the local churches and find out what they are doing for these poor kids.
I am not so sure it is the job of the government to provide medical coverage for every American that doesn't have it by taxing those that do. It is their job to stimulate free enterprise and manage the economy so that there are jobs for everyone.
In Massachusetts it is a law for every citizen to have medical coverage. They did it without raising taxes. Some people will have to pay a few hundred dollars instead of having some preceived need such as extended cable TV. But they will be covered, that is the good news. We'll see how that plan is working as it is new. However; it is supposed to make coverage a priority for all the citizens who want it.
The answer to the question: Yes, some Republicans do believe in God, and some just think they do.

Spray some WD-40 on your head, maybe that will free up your Brain. Do some research before making Stupid Statements. Christians are in all Political Parties, Democrats, Republicans, etc. Can you give an example of a poor child that a Christian, Democrat or Republican has not helped when the need was known? The Bible wasn't written just for Republicans, and Yes I believe in God, and I'm a Republican.

This country and many others were built on religious belief. I do not feel that we can have a true separation of church and state. It was our founding Fathers wish that we have the right to believe how we want and not be condemned for it.
To do away with prayer in school and public meetings is stepping on my rights as a Christian. I feel a moment of silence would cover both sides if they are will to compromise some.
All families should have the right to health care in this country no matter the income. Almost every state has health care for children all parents need to do is apply.
If we as a nation start letting the government know we will no longer put up with the wasteful spending put into the budget and stop paying such huge benefits to our politicians then we can have more for the people.
Also we should stop paying welfare for people to have more then one child, and anyone who is able to work should be trained and found a job. Welfare was started to help people in need while they were trying to find work, it was not meant to be an income forever.

I'm a liberal and I don't support the new SCHIPS bill. I can't see the point in insuring children of families making 65K a year. I'm sorry if that sounds cold and selfish, but I can see businesses attempting to coherse employees into exchanging private insurance for the SCHIPS program, much like Walmart has done in many states to it's low income employees.

Ah got question.
Conservatives Christians believe it is their own responsibility to help the poor not the government. That is why they donate more of their own time and money than do liberals.
We think that the program should help those who need the help not a family make 60K + or a person who is 23 years old.
Funny how the mention of G-d is so evil to democrats that you can invoke His Name to push your point. If a Republican done the same thing you cry foul of "Separation of Church and State" isn't that hypocritical?
Unless you are willing to open up G-d to all political moves than I suggest you be careful.

I guess relationship with Islamic dictatorships, such as Saudi Arabia, are more important to them then God. Just like politics are more important to Senator Lieberman then the Jewish Temple (he claims to be "an Orthodox Jew". But he was publicly eating and drinking , during the 2000 presidential campaign, in the fast which commemorates the destruction of the Jewish Temple).

The "Congress "wants $ for war, why can't you remember this? Republicans do believe in a higher power just NOT the federal government handing out programs. There is a way for everyone to have health insurance...if the medical profession/drug companys will seek less profits!

Well genius, the bill would have given money to "kids" in their 20's, try researching before posting stupid questions that you have not even looked into. You are a sucker, libs say children and you start writing a check. And the Bible talks about war and defending the weak regularly.
A better question, why to Republicans donate more money to the poor that libs, who simply talk the talk, but don't walk the walk?

Exactly why people are becoming Independent and not rely on the two major parties anymore. Both have been a major let down in ethical decency. Others want to scrap Affirmative Action Civil rights, while banning Free Speech and the Free exercise of religion.

it is ashame our children should come first , our government even thou we may not see it.' knows this' there trying to keep everyone in check as well as look out for our country even thou sometimes it may not be fair and we may not like there decisions they do have our best interest in mind it is hard to please every one and i believe they do have faith in God some times its just not so easy to see these things. if our government wont help out our poor families then i believe its up to all of us to get together and resolve what they are not. there are many ways to do this , we just all need to group together.
