Okay so I dropped my phone in the toilet, and it broke. I ended up drying it out, but i don't want it to work. I really want a new phone and it's the perfect excuse. Does Verzion charge more for a replacement phone if it was broken, or lost?

The phones have water sensitive indicators that will tell the technician that your phone has been damaged by the user instead of merely being defective. Don't insult their intelligence by lying.

Most carriers have a 30 day return/exchange policy. They also offer insurance which would replace damaged or lost phones. If you didn't choose to accept insurance, then you will pay any where from $150 to $500 for a replacement phone, depending on te style phone you choose...

as a verizon on the spot sales rep, i'd advise jus putting up the money for a clean telephone. (merely because it comes with a guaranty and also you recognize if there is any problem with them verizon will safeguard it) if no longer, we do grant a "fru" telephone. basically is a alternative telephone for $ninety they're refurbish(which skill there turned right into a subject matter at the same time as they man made the phone yet went back and stuck it yet cant promote them new) attempt to stay far flung from used telephone because lots of the time they bypass undesirable and also you're interior an analogous problem! good success

It is not the perfect excuse because damage done by yourself to your phone does not grant a free replacement. They would send you a replacement and you would have to pay for it. Just mess up the screen a bit, make it look like a black mofo, and tell them you ddn't do it. Thats what I did.

They will charge you whatever there current price is regardless of what you did to your old phone. They really don't care what happened, they are just happy to sell you a new one.

well, if it was still under warrenty, the warrenty would be voided because you dropped the phone.... but depending on where you're at in your contract, you might be able to do an upgrade. you'd have to check with verizon, see what their terms and pricing would be.
