it will be a bit thick and gooey unless you add water too.
That's what evaporated milk is, milk with the water removed. Condensed milk has even more removed and usually has sugar added.
Evaporated milk generally needs the same amount of water as milk to bring it back to normal unskimmed milk, but of course in this day and age you can get all sorts of varieties. It won't do you any harm, but might well be a wee bit sickly for an early morning palate.
When I was a girl I used to add it to my milk because I liked creamy milk. (Guess that's why I'm too fat now)
It's great on fruit or in recipes, but can taint the taste of tea. Some people prefer it in coffee. For my own part, I much prefer it to UHT milk.

evaporated milk is sweeter & thicker,add water to make it like milk,eg,pour the tin into a jug and add a tin of water.

Don't forget that you have to mix it with a can of water. Unless you like your coffee very creamy, then just pour some in straight...not too much.

so long as you added water to the evap. milk you're fine. I use UHT now if I run out... taste feral but lasts me an emergency breaky

Ewwww.....don't do it. You could try mixing it with water, but I don't think you'd like the taste even then.
