As much as I loved reading Lovecraft growing up, I think you're looking more for hazards associated with the change of land formations (geomorphic versus geometric). I'm thinking more of things along the lines of earthquakes, avalanches, mudslides, etc.

i do believe geomorphic hazards refers to occurances in relation to plate tectonic movements. hence, associated disasters would be more foten earthquakes, volcanic eruption, landslides or even tsunami which is triggered by earthquakes on the ocean floor.
try googling on tectonic activities or lithospheric processes

You can find descriptions of many different geometric hazards in the works of H P Lovecraft.

GEO MEANS EARTH AND MORPHIC MEANS SHAPE CHANGE THUS YOU HAVE CHANGE IN THE EARTHS SHAPE. THE FOLLOWING ARE JUST A FEW GEOMORPHIC HAZARDS; EARTHQUAKES, TSUNAMIS, FLOODS, MUDSLIDES, SANDSTORMS, AND THE LIST IS ALMOST ENDLESS. NOW IT'S YOUR TURN TO ADD A FEW.
