Well I don't know your situation and I certainly won't judge you from a one minute, 5 sentence yahoo blurb lol

If you feel that you have been treated unfairly, start out by talking to a school counselor or chaplain explaining your circumstances. Maybe through them, you will be able to talk with the dean of students to see what kind of compromises you can come up with. If the matter concerns a specific professor, try to talk to him or her explaining your situation. If you have a legit reason for missing your classes, and you have a valid doctor's note, they should be understanding about it. You also may have to be specific with them, keeping in mind that some people need their minds opened because they don't understand things that they aren't experiencing. "Sickness/disability,etc" encompasses so many things... not simply being bed-ridden and unable to access yahoo answers lol If it concerns classwork, suggest turning your work in electronically by the due date. etc

I have a feeling there are things you aren't telling us here, as no school I've ever heard of would kick you out just because you were ill and missed a couple of days of class. How many classes have you missed? If it is a couple, this would be outrageous; if you haven't gone to class for a month or more, then you don't stand a chance of finishing the semester anyway and you are really not a student at the school

The answer to your question is yes, they have the right to kick you out. You don't own your dorm room, even ifyou have paid the fees, and you agreed to meet certain standards when you signed up for the dorm in the first place, one of which was that you had to be a student, attending classes, or something like that. It isn't your permanent residence, and just like they can require you to go elsewhere over holidays and summers, they can ask you to leave for cause. You need to look at your agreement to see what you can and cannot do.

I have to wonder how sick you are if you are on Yahoo! Answers!
