Yes, and I,ve been to the old Gilleys Dance Hall in Pasadena TX. Saw him and Johnny Lee play the sound track off Urban Cowboy. Best damn show i ever seen:)

His remake of "Stand by Me" from the movie urban cowboy is the one I remember. Kind of became his signature song. Did you know he got a star on the Hollywood walk of fame?

You mentioned most of my favorites, but his straight-faced cover of the classic "You Don't Know Me" in my mind is the bread-and-butter sound of where this underrated cowboy was coming from.
