Yes. You connect the wires together and the lighting works.

If you're in the UK and you're talking about rewiring ceiling roses etc. get an electrician. Definitely do not connect like colour with like. It may seem logical but it doesn't work like that. I had the same problem. After blowing the fuse in the lighting circuit I got my mate in. It took him half an hour to test the various circuits and correct what I had messed up!

Cool question, no project to respond to. you could desire to purchase a 12 volt battery or use 2 6 volt batteries in series (hook in undemanding terms a million plus to a million minus at diverse battery, then use the something + and - as though they have been one 12 volt battery) accessible at any low fee chain or ironmongery keep. in undemanding terms get some bell cord (hook up cord) decrease back on the comparable form of keep. decrease back 2 products some foot long, strip the ends decrease back approximately an inch. Use electric powered tape to tape the wires onto the suited and barrel of the cigarette plug. Hook the wires to the 12 volt battery and away you bypass. Base on journey, you could regularly use a screwdriver to open up the cigarette plug and snip the wires loose indoors. you could now hook the wires directly to the battery. in case you ever pick for to hook as lots because of the fact the plug, in undemanding terms solder them decrease back on. merely appropriate of fulfillment with this project!

The best way to extend lighting cable (which is what I assume you're trying to do) is to buy strips of small plastic terminal blocks (5A).
Just connect like colours to like, and make sure they are tightly screwed in with no bare wire showing.
If you are using modern colours with old colours, brown=red, blue=black.

If you're asking how to make the connections,
use wirenuts. Twist the bare stripped ends and
screw on the little plastic conical fitting and you're done.
If you have to ask which to connect to which, you
haven't given enough info. and probably shouldn't
be doing it.

What are you asking? Is it new colour code to old? If so red to brown, black to blue and green to green / yellow.
