Or, if you live in a samll town or on a farm, did you ever want to live in a big city?

I live in Los Angeles, by the way, in Studio City area, which is really near Hollywood and Universal Studios.

I've lived in both. And there is one thing I hated about small towns. People love to talk. If you don't mind people talking about you and/or you love talking about other people then a small town might be right for you.

And I'm just talking about little things. For example, if someone sees your car parked outside of a bar at 9pm on a Friday night then you'll be talked about as an alcoholic. If you miscalculate your checking account one month and write a bad check to the grocery store you'll be talked about as poor and a deadbeat.

Did you know that most small towns post all the law violations in the local paper? Get a speeding ticket and everyone knows about it. Get a DUI and forget about it. Moms with strollers will cross the street to avoid you.

Also, FOOD in small towns is bad. If you do all your own cooking then you won't miss those beautiful 24hr taco shops we are used to in LA. I know I did. I started dreaming about a carne asada burrito con todo.

Just some stuff to think about.

I grew up on a farm. Thought I'd enjoy living in a big city. Tried it for 2 years. Hated it. Now I live in a small village (pop.500), but I still dream of owning a small farm.

I felt like that too, then I went camping for 3 days and I realised that I did not have what takes to live in the 'great outdoors'....

I notice bunch of people think about moving to Alaska, including myself. When city life sucks, wildness calls louder.
