I mean she has been all but destroyed by a media hate campaign and why? Because she appeared in a few glamour shots when she was younger.
There are far worse people out there then Heather Mills.
If you were in a pub and some girl came in and said her bloke had been knocking her about we would probably all be outside about to kick his head in but when it was Heather we are all "Ah no, she must be lying, he is a beatle, he wrote Hey Jude, can' have been him".
We have just completely assumed she is lying without any evidence at all. And when she eventually explodes under the pressure everyone is "Ah I told you she was mad, she is not good for her children". She needs professional help etc
IT IS THE MEDIA THAT DROVE HER MAD! She probably wasn't mad before.
As for the money, she is totally within her rights to get some money off her husband. Isn't that how divorces work?
It makes me sick. Am I the only person who would stick up for her?

It reminds me of a bunch of bloodthirsty vultures feeding off her pain, is this what human nature is?

Well, apart from a few decent people here, the public seem to mirror the savage nature of the media. Throwing around these accusations and speculations about someone you don't even know (believeing EVERYTHING you read in the paper) - wake up will you.

And it is terrible how people think she was comparing herself to the Mccanns or Diana - she was simply using those people as examples of how the media have destroyed peoples lives. I heard the interview. In no way, did she compare her plight to Kate Mccanns. People need to listen more closely.

Fred - You have hit the nail on the head, I think a lot of those gullible readers have answered this question today.

I couldn't really care less either way, but it is sad that the media do this to anyone. Plenty of nice people get divorced every day, so do plenty of nasty ones. Nobody knows the truth except those directly involved, but sadly a lot would rather speculate and gossip about other people's lives than just simply getting on with their own. If it wasn't Heather Mills it would be someone else everyone was gunning for.

I have stopped buying "newspapers" for exactly this reason, the media make up their own stories so that gullible readers swallow their lies. She did not compare herself to Diana or the McCanns she just referred to the way the press have also hounded them with the tragic outcome of Diana's death. It is about time the press were held accountable for the way they treat people in this country, they have the power to build you up to be a huge public face or they can destroy your life without giving it a second thought. Just because it's in a newspaper doesn't mean its true, all they want to do is sell their papers by fair means or foul.

i work in the media and i was fortunate enough to be invited to the bafta ceremony along with some freinds who were getting an award - i have never met the woman - but have met several people who have and they unanimously say she manipulates everything to portray herself as a victim - for example, when she was attending all teh divorce stuff, she was always on crutches and used every opportunity to say how many operations and how much pain she experienced - does that sound like someone who would do a dancing competition.
as for the divorde - i think Mccarthey is an old fool who thought all his christamses had come at once to get a girl 20-25 years younger than him, but no way does she deserver the kind of money she is asking for

I dont think the media are fair in general with celebrities.
However I thought her outburst yesterday was unneccesary. People had pretty much forgotten about her and once the divorce is settled I doubt her name will be mentioned much again but she has brought the limelight back on herself without reason. I think she also made a very big mistake by comparing herself to Princess Diana to Kate McCann.
I dont think it is fair anyone is hounded by the media but I dont think it would have done her any harm to lay low until the divorce was settled then give a calm concise interview stating her side of the story.

I personally think that she is very manipulative of the media. After yesterday's outburst her own publicist walked away from her and quit. I think that she is just out to screw Sir Paul for as much as possible, in any way possible, and this has been her agenda all along. How anyone like her can compare herself to Princess Diana I just don't know. Diana had Class. This is a woman who dances on television one week and then appears in a courtroom the following week in a wheelchair. Then in the next breath she is miraculously recovered and is walking round again. She is after the sympathy vote all the time. She is a grade one schemer.

One of my partner's best mates is married to an ex-friend of Heather's. They stopped being friendly recently because Heather was just too much of a b!tch to deal with.
So, having heard about her from that close, no I don't think she deserves any sympathy.
Of course she deserves to get some money in the divorce settlement, but when a million would change most people's lives, isn't asking for 70-100 million going a little far?

I am getting really tired of all the hoo haa about Heather and Paul , neither of them are people I would really want to spend much time with and the vast amount of column inches being written about their sordid divorce arguements is quite frankly boring the backside off me . Both of them should try and deal with it with some dignity for the sake of their daughter and move on .

the british media love to knock people down. unless you personally know what is going on then your rely qualified to comment.
also for the record journalists and newspapers are there to sell papers. would you buy a paper to hear hather and paul are getting on and the divorce is very amicable.
also i do however think she is a horrible person but i thought that before as i met her once. nastry piece of work.

I heard someone who knows her say that she is not misunderstood.
Jonathan Ross said that she's an extremely good liar.
I think you may be wrong about her.
Like someone said, you don't get everyone to like you by trying to get them to hate a Beatle - that is very bad judgement.
She should go on the next Celebrity Big Brother - the programme was made for self-obsessed people like her.
She could give her fee to charity.
