My wife's period started, then stopped abruptly....what's going on???

My wife's period started yesterday morning but she told me that she only bled for about 3 or 4 hours and then it just completely stopped. Neither of us have any idea what's happened and quite frankly, we're a little concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this situation?

Being stressed about something can affect the period. I would recommend that she check with her doctor as well to see what they say.
