In the USA, as you asked, it's...
Stanford University - plus world renowned psychologist Zimbardo heads the faculty there.
but the BEST place is (France), and then MONTREAL,CANADA. because....
If you studied the history of Psychology, you remember that the french were the leaders of Psychology in the Western world after they learnt what they did from the East. When the scholars wanted to bring their knowledge to America, back in the 1800s, they went to the most french speaking part, where their works could be understood.
That means MONTREAL, in CANADA.
The best universities in order, for Psychology there (and in the whole of N.America) is
*****Universite de Montreal***** (french speaking)
leading Uni for Psychology in AMERICA
(they are more clinical)
If you don't speak french ie only English there are 2 eng. speaking Unis in Montreal...
*****Concordia University*****
(Next best thing to UdeM, if English is what you are looking for)
*****McGill University*****
(Canadian Top Uni, almost Ivy League.. but not that good in Arts&Sciences)
BY THE WAY =>
you said you were looking to discover another country?
Well Montreal is really an amazing city. I was so fortunate, SO LUCKY, to have my dream subject be taught the best in a dream city.
So fun, people are so friendly, and the life there is truly rich. there are so many cultures, and so many things to do on a constant basis. I think you will enjoy Little Italy, too - it's such a nice district, with great resos, shops, and really really friendly ppl.....
