All you need to do is touch an unpainted metal surface of your computer. e.g. touch a metal screw on your power supply. This will temporarily ground yourself discharging any static you have.

Touching steel ... and that i've got stumbled on in case you slap the steel the marvel does not harm. you do no longer could slap it stressful, i think of being speedy is a factor of what does it. Slapping yet another individual on the exterior works too. while my 3 year previous daughter comes down a slide and that i will see that she's have been given assorted static, I provide her a extreme 5. It removes the electric energy and he or she does not experience a factor.

Good question... a static charge can severely damage computer components.

I recommend buying an Anti-Static Wrist Strap kit, which are often sold at electronics stores.

The easiest way to do this is to touch the power supply (after you turn off the main switch of course). That way it will discharge all or most of the static charges on your body.

Don't wear nylon or anything that attracts static. friction also causes static. If in doubt touch someone and if you've got static give them a shock before you do your computer.

My niece has the same experience and i was kinda amused at first. I think it has something to do with the weather. If you're in a cold country, you expect that.
Otherwise,consult a medical experts.

Just do the assembly in places with no carpetting, or have a limb touching a no-carpet area.

Negate the charges. Touch yourself, make a clean swipe against your arms, etc.
