How to use Internet Connection Sharing
To use Internet Connection Sharing to share your Internet connection, the host computer must have one network adapter that is configured to connect to the internal network, and one network adapter or modem that is configured to connect to the Internet.

use the link given below :))

The method depends entirely on the existing internet connection and in house network setup. You do not need a server, any PC running XP will do.

If you have a broadband router with multiple RJ45 ports, then you only need to connect via 1 of these ports to each PC. This option only needs the router to be turned on.

If your router has only 1 port then you can get a small hub, usually 4 or 8 ways (outputs) and connect the router into 1 port and PCs into the other ports. With a hub the network runs at the lowest speed of all the PCs connected and turned on, eg if 1 PC supports 10Mb only and another supports 10 and 100 and a third supports 10/100/1Gb, then the network will run at 10Mb while the slowest is turned on. This option needs the router and the hub to be turned on.

If you have a USB broadband modem, then you need to "setup a home or small office network" on the machine connected directly to the modem. Find network setup wizard in control panel, and follow the directions. You need to choose options like "this computer connects directly to the internet", "Allow other computers to connect to the internet via this computer". Create the floppy and run the config created on all other PCs. You will obviously need a hub to provide connections to other PCs.This option means the "host PC" and hub must be on for other PCs to see the internet.

If you spend a bit more you could go for a wireless router or a wireless access point and usb wireless adapters for each PC and forget the wiring. Laptops tend to have wireless added in by default so usb adapters are not normally needed.

If you need further help you will need to be more specific about your setup.

run the network set up wizard in the my network places on the first computer.

run through the wizad and choose the ooption "this comoputer conects through a gateway directly or something along those lines. I think its the second option.

it will than ask you for a name. name it whatever you want. like smith or home or something along that line.

once it starts its thing, it will give you a few options. choose the one that says, "i dont need to run setup on any other computer" or you can chose make setup disc but i never have a usb stick handy so i choose the "i dont need to run setup on any other computer. and than it will want to restart. so restart.

now, do the same thing on the second pc (or 3 or 4 or 100) and run te setup wizard again. go through the above setup but make sure in this pc, and any other pc you put in the name that you put in the original pc. so if you named the first one smith, name every other computer you want to do smith so it will see all of those pcs on your private network. (this is whre the option to save setup to some kind of media is nice but if your only doing 2 pc,s i see no point. So again name this pc what you named the first pc network, smith or home or whatever. just make sure its the same as the first.

again restart when it prompts you.

when both pc's finnaly are up, open my network places and you should see both computers shared document folder on this screen.

so if you open pc 2's shared doc folder it will open on your desktop. than just drag and drop and you will see the files stast slowly appearing on the other pc's shared doc folder.

on the second pc, find you shared document folder and you can drag and drop to wherever you want to keep it.. desktop, my document or wherver.
