At our current rate of growth, there'll be 10 billion souls on this planet, with zero fossil fuels, zero coal and other natural resources. Wars will be fought over water. The burgeoning populations will mostly be in third world countries.
Will technology save the day?.....maybe. Will we change our ways to avoid the impending train wreck?.....doubtful. Will there be some cataclysmic event that brings us down to more sustainable levels...say 3 billion?.....probably.

I remember I once read an article about this... I think it was Arthur C. Clarke's, in any case a popular science fiction writer's, detailing his forecasts for each year of the 21st century (including 2100). And I remember that the line for 2100 states that humans would start the first expeditions to the stars... the future would be so exciting, the possibilities are wonderful. There'll be expansions (with setbacks, of course, starting from the damage of the environment and quaint ways of life that many people hold near and dear) in almost all areas.. As human life and knowledge and development of technology has leapt largely during the previous century, it would not be too hopeful to expect the same, or even greater, degrees of achievements during the course of this one. We might manage intellligent AI, regular orbital and lunar vacations, plastic cities, life longevity... most of the stuff of scifi might come to realization.
...But, yeah, as Pluto said, human nature will remain the same...

RE:
What will life be like in 2100?
What will life be like in 2100? Which of the following do you think will change most - education, health, transport, cities, and the countryside, clothes, architecture, technology? Do do you think they will change? Discuss? You can give your opinion in more than just 1 field

back in 1990.. someone asked what will life be like in 2010.. so we came up with flying cars and stuff.. haha.. so what will I think life will be life in 2100.. maybe flying car is one of them lol..
seriously one thing for sure.. the world will be overcrowded!!! hence leading to less trees, more buildings. Less animals, more man-made stuff. BIGGER ozone hole. Weather will be much warmer. Definitely a major change environmental wise. Human.. we remain the same.. more high-tech perhaps.

Perhaps i'm dead already by that time. But i can tell there will be more natural disasters to expect due to global warming, more innovative technology in all aspects, maybe people might be able to have an expensive tour in the universe or a continous exploration in the deepest of the oceans and lastly, people will just eat food in the form of capsules!

I think you will have to tell me, because by then I will be gone.
Everything you mentioned will change. And more.
Things that you can't even imagine today will be reality for your children. And the things that their children dream of and accomplish will seem like an unbelievable fantasy.
I remember hearing my grandparent's speak of courting in a buggy and I raced home from work to see Neil Armstrong walk on the moon. And now we have so many amazing devices that if I attempted to describe them to my grandparent's they would know that I was crazy.
Get ready because things are going to change so fast it will make your head spin.

all i foresee is nuclear dust clouding the skies blocking the sun's rays. life form will hardly be able to survive and its hard to even think of education-health-transportation-technology with the current bombings and advances in bio-warfare. man has lost sanity now. as long as we hate each other, the inevitable cannot be averted. it's a sad state of affairs.

if everything stays constant from now, and most of us will not realize the current situation of our world, as in no one will act on it, 90 years from now, no doubt, we'll die of global warming..
