I love graveyards and other sacred places. I find them to be extremely peaceful and have no qualms about visiting such places late at night. I am not scared of ghost having seen them all my life.

When I was young I used to hang out with other school mates in the local cemetary and tell ghost stories. Everybody thought I made them up but most of the time my stories were true.

I was a weird child. As an adult I think I still am... lol Though, I wonder why it is that graveyards are so peaceful???

Blessings and Love x

I find them peaceful and thought provoking.I especially find the older graves interesting.I like to read the names to see what people were called years ago.Children's graves sadden me though.I once went to find my grandparents grave.Close by was a tall gravestone where the parents and 5 children were buried. The children all died very young, the parents a year or so later. The grave looks very expensive and elaborate.I don't know if they were a wealthy family, but they certainly had no luck.Very sad.Next time you feel sorry for yourself, take a walk around a graveyard and read the headstones, you'll realise just how lucky you are.

Very peaceful. I too love going for a stroll and reading the headstones -- especially in very old cemeteries.

The one at Toowong in Brisbane Australia is Both.

During the day, it is peaceful and it is on a hillside so the dearly departed have the best views. I personally wouldn't go at night.

They have Ghost Walks there on Saturday nights. For an extra $110 on your entry price they will take you in a hearse. The crypt of the Murderous Mayne's Family is located there.

Truly Creepy.

Hey, good question.
Personally, I love walking through cemeteries, and I'm not goth or emo or anything like that.
I occasionally visit the local cemetry (I'd visit much more often, except it's far from my house) and spend a few hours there, looking at the different sections; it's a wonderful place to just sit and think, and -ironically- to appreciate life. You know what I mean?

Peaceful, creepy at night on my own maybe but I love walking through them in the day time and trying to find the oldest gravestone. I find them so fascinating.

I find them peaceful. I did community service at a national cemetary when I was in trouble once. Civil War battlefields can be a little creepy though.

I find them extremely creepy. I went to one when I was eleven to visit my great grandmother's grave -only time I've ever been- and I was terrified. The atmosphere was so eerie and everything was so quiet and dark. I was scared that something was going to jump out and grab me. I hate going into or even driving past graveyards, they make me feel really sad and depressed.

I went to a cemetery a while back to visit my brothers grave. When I was walking back to the entrance gate I came across the section where the young children are laid to rest. I spent some time looking at the grave stones in that area. It was so sad seeing all of the young ages. I saw graves with teddy bears and little dolls.Makes me appreciate even more how precious life is.

In the daytime, I could go for a stroll through them, take a look around, maybe take some cool photographs... but at night, I get the creeped out shivers and you couldn't pay me to go into one.
