We read that after checking all the options the Portuguese Police head of the case has turned his focus back onto the McCanns.
Detectives investigating the Madeleine McCann case have consulted the chief inspector who has been sacked from heading the inquiry amid claims of a lack of leads, it has been reported.
Chief Insp Goncalo Amaral was removed from the case at the beginning of October after he accused the British police of only following up lines of inquiry put forward by the missing girl's parents, Kate and Gerry McCann.
He was apparently convinced that the couple, who are formal suspects in the case, were involved in the disappearance of their four-year-old, who vanished from Praia da Luz in the Algarve on May 3
The McCanns have tried every distraction in the book - but did they work ?

Yes, the investigation seems to be circling..
I believe to eventually arrive at the truth, the McCann friends
of the night in question ,should be interrogated further by British & Portuguese Police.....together , apart, separately.
Somebody is covering, hiding, some vital information, as to a
lead.
The whole episode, with McCanns prompt media attention , fund raising , setting up a Limited Company, just seems unreal, suspect , part of a Plan.....?

I always knew that the reconstruction the other day was done just to please the McCanns but then the PJ would still revert back to their original thoughts. It's good to hear that Amaral is still playing a part in the investigation and his own police still have faith in him.
It's time the McCanns carried on with taking care of the twins and stopped interferring with this case because nothing they do will stop the case progressing.

They are not MAIN suspects...they were made OFFICIAL suspects as part of the investigative procedure.
How can you state that Chief Amaral was removed just 'cos he followed the McCanns lines of inquiry. The McCanns have been baselessly accused of the murder of their Madeleine from the start.
Seems you really don't need facts or proof.....whims suffice.

Yet more speculation. It's not enough to be "convinced". No genuine suspect, no established witnesses, no proof of any kind, no charges, no trial, no verdict, no sentence. I would never speak for child neglectors, but that's the answer the McCanns would give you.

The McCann's are responsible for the serial neglect of their daughter. If she is found dead the parents are directly or indirectly accountable. If the PJ are back to the parents this does not hold well for Madeleine's chances of being alive.
