I don't want to come off being selfish. But I think I'm as good as I think I can be. I hear so many times from women I have dated in the past and people I have come across oh how nice of a guy I am. Honestly after awhile I get tired of hearing that. It's like hanging a sign around my neck saying I'm a nice guy. Don't go out with me or for it to say. Hey I'm a nice guy take advantage of me. Both have been true in incidents in my life.

i could be a better person by knowing that at the end of the day i know i have not hurt anybody, and that i have in one way or the other made a difference in someones life, i know then, i'll be a better person, and knowing this,
happy the man, and happy he alone,
he who can call today his own,
he who secure within can say,
tomorrow do thy worst,
for i have lived today,
and i know i will be a better person.

Most of us think, we are already 'one up' on being a better person. However,a few of us do think about bettering ourselves and end up being worst off(ego problems).A minuscule part who really succeed ,come back to the starting point with a realization that we were actually better off to begin with except that we didn't know how to live our life ie LIVE and LET LIVE.

Yes, I do think so.

First, we have to say ourselves I need to change. Then, list down our own weaknesses, and state what we have to do to improve the weaknesses.

For instance, if we always have problems in dealing with people, jot down what we think we should avoid from happening again. Maybe, we used to boast in front of our friends, proud of our success till annoy our listeners, so on so forth. Asking honest friend is the best way to figure it out.

The best praise is when people say that we are good and well-behaved, according to a psychologist. Especially when we are told, your parents will be proud of you because of your good behavior.

To be a better person means that "I" must mold my person into that which is truly me instead of allowing my person to do what ever it wants.

Definitely. I am way too negative thinking and have very low self-esteem. I'm seeing a psychologist and working on these things.
