In Australia im allowed 2 graphic calculators for exams with notes (only because its the hardest maths and physics and chemistry). Does anyone know how to get notes and formulas on a Texas TI-83 or 84? Thanks heaps.

Hi

There are lots of ways, it depends how much they check your calc.

Firstly, of course, you can write programs which either display them, or in which the program doesn't actually run, but the text is just the equations you cant remember. Something like:

Prgm: CHEAT
:S=UV+0.5(A+T)
:A=(U-V)/T
:1S2,2S2,2P8,

Or whatever

Or, you can draw pictures and save them. Go to the graph screen, and press 2nd, then Draw (above Prgm I think), and then scroll down to the Text option, and write something. Then press 2nd Draw again, and go across to save picture. When you need it in the exam, simple go to RecallPic then the number, like 0-9.

Or you can have a GDP, which is basically a freeze of a graph screen as well.

Lastly, you can save Strings as equations:

"A=(U-V)/T" -> Strng1

Where the -> bit is the Sto button. Then, to recall, simply press Strng1 or whatever you saved it as.

Hope this helps, email any q's
