DaftoldWoman (Sorry bit, rather fitting on this occasion!)
We don't celebrate the fact Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the houses of Parliament, we celebrate the fact he didn't and that he was stopped, which is why we throw the damn guy onto a bonfire and burn him alive.
Sadistic? Yes.
Celebration of terrorism? No.
We and the Police all know where trouble is most likely to go off, yet those areas never get a bobby patrolling them, or a 'riot van' in sight. Having a higher police presence on the streets would actually do some good, probably cost too much money though.
Brave man though tackling the firework, though his child and livelihood were at stake.

Sadly nothing. We are always going to have some sickos who overstep the mark. To beef up security would have the counter effect of turning the UK into a surveillance/police state.
As with all crimes, we need an effective police force we can trust and public help to find the person involved.

That was awful I saw it on the news I think it may of been a racist attack and the person knew full well who was in the shop they wore a mask to cover their identity and I hope they are ashamed of themselves. The owner of the shop was so brave he saved his family.Ban fireworks being sold to the general public and make people who do official displays have to hold a licence.I know this may not stop the criminal element but it would go someway to controlling it.

No i am sorry but even with security this sort of thing can still happen, its a terrible story and having watched the news i wondered if it was racially motivated.

There is no excuse for this type of brainless activity, I was truly sickened when I saw this on TV - is there no hope for the youth of today if this type of thing continues to happen.

stricter fireworks laws would help. But just like other forms of terrorism, its hard to prevent a lone actor with crazy ideas.

Do like they did here and make the stuff illegal. True pyrotechnics are only available to professional pyrotechnic companies who are licensed, and certified to run the shows.

It's called security. Companies like Eagle Security, Lone Star security prevent this kind of thing from happening. Higher a security guard. They stop idiots in halloween costumes from setting off fire crackers inside buildings.
