The media only emphasizes the negative roll rap and its artists have played. T.I. arrested for wanting to buy guns? "ZOMG RAP IS TEH BAD." Jay-Z has set up many charities for his home town? "Nah throw that out, we can fill that with something about sports or how this crap filled survey says rap makes our kids behave worse."
Just because many people associate Rap/Hip-Hop with pimps, hoes, drugs, guns, gangs, etc. doesn't mean its true, nor will it change the fact many people love that style of music.

Yes sometimes rap is ignorant and disrespectful but is that really an excuse for "our" behavior as a whole. ...Really I realized from a recent racial events that people will think hat they may of people no matter what type of music, anyways back to the point rap isn't always bad, its just the Hoish and pimpish lyrics that they let on to the radio..... Umm Outies You may sya its rap but think The Man puts us against it other instead of deouncing rap think of way to come together as a people stop wasting your time thinking about they what think think about us

Man it's not all rap that is bad just, unfortunatley, most of the stuff that is popular is filled with the garbage you speak of. There still is good rap out there, you just gotta look a bit.
