Check your brakes--your pads may be worn to the point they're gouging out your brake rotors. That would cause a constant grinding.

sounds like you have bad brakes. Go to you local shop and have them do a break inspection. Usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes and is usually pretty cheap. The grinding noise you might be hearing is the steal from the brake pad grinding on your rotors. If you don't have it checked soon, you could do a lot of damage to the front end, plus you could end up in an accident from not being able to stop in time. Plus spend a lot of money getting your rotors replaced and all the front end damage.

Your brake pad are worn out and now it's metal to metal makeing that grinding sound.
Get a macanic to install new brake pads,if you keep running you car like this they will have to turn the rotors down and that means more cash
