4 those of u who don't no what those r, contrails r the long clouds left by aircraft, probably passenger planes. & I remember listening to that radio show by Art Bell L8 @ night discussing contrials. I 4get what it was about, so do u think u could give me a basic rundown on what makes contrails "alarming"? & do u believe such facts or whatever about jet exhaust?

If you are driving across Kansas in fall you will see this happen. Not only does the Air Force fly all over this place at all altitudes, and you haven't lived till you have had a B-52 rattle you out of bed in the middle of the night in a place where the only sign of civilization is your house and the powerline leading to it . But when the jets leave contrails at higher level these started appearing in grid patterns. I saw one in late September when I was driving from Kansas City to Fort Hays, KS. It was a clear unusually warm and calm day for Kansas and that time of year. I was going to watch a football game at Hays and for the first time in my life it was calm and hot and they were celebrating Oktoberfest (in Sept. of course) But as I drove back I noticed that the contrails had spread across the sky and filled in the gaps.
I had heard of them before and didn't think any thing of them. I am an expert on air pollution and measuring it. What I noticed was that the clouds were not the usual white for being as high as they appeared. Some people may think that there is something being done to modify the environment, but if so, this is not it. If you wanted to lower temp. you would want to reflect light with the whites clouds possible and keep heat out of the upper atmosphere. Not put dark clouds where they would do the most damage.
I have been studying causes of global warming that didn't quite make it into Big Al's film and if you look at the web-site for the labs in Colorado you will find out what these contrails may have been for if they were any kind of test.
Just remember, water vapor is the dominate greenhouse gas on earth and compared to CO2. When you burn ethanol do you get more CO2 or steam? How about H2? How about just about any hydro-carbon?

If you look at some of the sites about so-called "chemtrails" they range from slightly wacky to off the planet. The one thing in common about all chemtrail nutters is that they know bugger-all about atmospheric physics.
The physics behind contrails is well known and has been for about seventy years - since aircraft first started leaving them as they flew higher in the troposphere. It is possible to predict the height at which contrails will form using a temperature sounding of the atmosphere from a weather balloon.
Without going into all the ridiculous things said about contrails, a couple of things to remember are these. Gases and light particles pumped into the atmosphere high in the troposphere are unlikely ever to reach the ground. Secondly, the winds up there are so strong that if they do reach the ground, it will be hundreds of kilometres downwind from where they were released. A contrail over your head is not going to bother you at all even if it is full of the nastiest things you can imagine.

The conspiracy folks call 'em chemtrails. Apparently its's some super secret mind control aerosol that is being used to start some new world order or something. I dunno why I've been spreading 'em on my flights to Honolulu for the past 3 years. I guess that we've gotta brainwash a bunch of fish to git this NWO thing happening.
I've been making a very good living for the past 25 years flying around the country spreading chemtrails. After all, CO2 and H20 are chemicals and isn't that what a contrail really is?

It's not 'con-trails' that are alarming. It's 'chem-trails' that they are talking about.
Try googling 'chemtrails' and you might be shocked what you find.
roughly; chemtrails are chemical clouds released from military and research aircraft for various 'scientific' purposes which are usually 'classified'. Analysis by independant labs of the residue left on the ground from some of these trails has shown everything from radiological materials, mutant strains of viruses and bacteria, and other bizarre stuff you probably wouldn't voluntarily agree to have sprayed all over your home and family.
