There have been a couple of times that a city has had two championship winning teams. The Steelers and Pirates might have done it. The Islanders or Rangers and Yankees maybe. The first time I saw the T-shirt was in 2004 after the Patriots had won Super Bowl 38 and the Red Sox had won the World Series, but the Patriots went out and won Super Bowl 39 just to make sure we were talking about Boston. As a technical matter, Foxboro is about 40 miles south of Boston, but that is close enough--unless you are trying to exit the stadium and get on 95 North, but that's another story.
It is too early to say that about Boston currently, but let's hope in about 3 months, it will be true again. I don't want to jinx anything.

It's Pittsburgh, we were the first to use the Title as far as I know(speaking of Pro Sports I assume).

Hey Stats why not including Pittsburgh? We have 5 Superbowl, 2 Stanley Cups and 5 World Series Titles. So that gives us 12 Championships, which is more then D.C. and as many as St. Louis.

It's gotta be New York... which has 51 titles. That includes MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL. 34 of those titles are in Baseball (Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, Giants).

Other notable cities:
31- Boston
26- Montreal (all Stanley Cups)
23- Chicago
18- Los Angeles (Had no teams prior to 1959)
14- Philly
12- St Louis
7- D.C.
Green Bay may be Tlitle Town, but it has only 6 champions.

Hey Stats C, check your history. Green Bay has 12 championships. Most in the NFL, it got the nickname of Titletown after winning 5 championships in the 60s. Man, too many ignorant people on here...
