He was on the phone with his son who has a black girlfriend and Dog repeatedly referred to her by the Nword. How it was recorded and leaked, who knows..but question is, what should the action taken against him be? Nothing, lose his show, apologize to jesse jackson and al sharpton, or go kick it with imus and kramer...i dont know....i really dont have an opinion on it either way.

If you read his book you will find a lot of his tactics, and morality is lacking. He smoked crack in the mid 1990's while he was Bounty Hunting. His murder conviction was in the late 70's. I had always figured he completely changed his life around after the conviction. Apparently he hasn't changed.

The first problem I have with this is the legal issue. To my knowledge, it's a felony to record a conversation without the knowledge of the person you are recording. He obviously wouldn't have said it if he knew it was being recorded, so it never should have been taped in the first place.

My second problem is the fact that black people can and do use this word extensively. I don't like the word, and I don't use it, but I find it ironic that those who don't want to be judged by the color of their skin wish to prevent me from using a word they use based solely on the color of MY skin.

My third problem is similar to the second. A black man wouldn't be getting in this much trouble for calling a white man 'cracker.' It's a double standard, and it invalidates every argument against 'Dog,' and Imus, and anyone else they target for using this word.

If black people really wish white people would stop using the word, the least they could do is stop using it themselves. What else did this country fight for civil rights for, then to treat everyone the same, regardless of the color of their skin?

I forgive dog. Look how many things and times dog has helped others and told them while showing them how to get better. People only care about this cause he is famous. You dont see anyone unfamous recording private conversations then selling them and media making a big issue. Compare what he has done for hundreds and risked his own life and family to save other peoples lives and families. If he does not get back on the tv, there will be no A&E in this house or my families ever again. I emailed A&E about that too. It just makes me upset how funny people react. They dont care until something bad happens and want to be with the in crowd bad mouthing till he is does something right and then people change minds and go o dog is great he helps so much.

people have thier opinions on thier views and everyone is entitled to it. maybe he does not speak that way in front of his kids. On his shows i know he is an actor but is very respectable but everyone has their own lifestyle so maybe people should be more worried on other things like their own issues and families and just forgive dog. but not to offend anyone but even though some see it right and wrong but its strange and definate a racial issue when we see black people saying N word to each other and yet when white say it all hell break lose but still its just like black see it one way and white another. So if you people against Dog then change the channel and dont complain about it. You have a right to watch wat you want and he has a right to say wat he wants. If he is pulled then i guess that all rap is gone that means bye nelly, eminem, fifty cent, twista, huey, snoop, tupac, g-unit, dre, fat joe, ja, biggie, method man, diddy...wow thats millions of dollars that could used to make the world better. Seems its matter of what you want to watch and listen to but nobody forces you to watch or listen to what you dont want to hear. Guess its just how your raised and how you feel. And i cant say much cause people would be offended but think how you were raised. I was raised like Dog around learning about black people and what the N word is and intended for and ya just cause i would side with dog does not say that i dont like any blacks and matter fact i got like 2 black friends but they dont act black. But its how you grew up, what your family is accustomed to and what your beliefs are and its not illegal to have your own PERSONAL conversation untill it is secretly taped then its invasion of privacy.

I heard the entire phone clip which is about 5 minutes long and i actually understand why he was so furious with the girl - whose name is monique!
she threatened to lay out beth, dogs wife and video/sell/expose secrets about the family.

i believe he was so angry cos he was trying to protect his family and his reputation, i dont believe he should have said what he did BUT if someone was threatening to leak things and earn money from my family i would be just as friggin furious!!

it was his own son that leaked the tape to the press for " alot of money" so i read
this is the link to that page http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/11/01/dog.chapman.ap/index.html

i actually have the entire convo on my pc, a friend sent it to me as we are both huge fans of the show so if anyone wants to hear it before you condemn then ill be happy to email them just message me with your email address.
i was shocked at the clip i heard until i heard the entire conversation. funny how the media only showed just enough to blow this all out of proportion!!

from what i know its illegal to record someone without thier knowledge, well it is here!
i believe the show has been suspened and not cancelled and with any luck it wont be cancelled. it was taken all out of context.

i just hope the actions of his nasty little son and his skank of a girlfriend dont damage the chapman families reputations too much

And your point is??? Does every Black man who has called me "Cracker" or "Honky" have to retribute? C'mon....The man can say what he wants. And why would he grovel to the likes of al "the king pimp racebaiter"sharpton or jesse "i have an illegitimate child in ga but i still hate white folks" jackson.
We shall see what happens, but he owes nobody nothing.

And Gokugohan...Please enlighten me....exactly what does an "N" word user "look" like. Cause from my perspective....It is usually the blacks that use it....against each other, And I am from the south.

I think if his show is permanently canceled, that will be punishment enough. It was wrong of him to refer to his son's girlfriend like that, but it was a private conversation between he and his son, so I don't think he should have to apologize to any civil rights groups or anything...

If you see the size of Dog you know nobody caught him saying or doing anything. He's a bright guy and rating month starts today.

What do you expect out of a white ANGRY man. His son is probably doing this dating to get on his nerve and it seems to be working.
I would not watch his show from now on, not that I watch it, but the girl show give up on his son...never mind of what we should do or what we think...it is her that should stop taking the verbal abuse!

Well in america you have the fredom to say what ever you want, so if thats what he wants to say then let him. Everyone will have to answer for the way they act in the end.
