Wherever the car is registered is where a picture with a citation will be sent.
End of story, and they won't NOT send it.
My pictures were of me in the driver's seat and the license plate as well. two separate shots, taken at the same time.

You screwed up! The FPN will include a copy of the photo. The photo will show the number plate and POSSIBLY the occupants of the vehicle. It depends upon the camera system in use as well as how it was aimed.
The FPN will be posted to the registered keeper of the vehicle. If that's you, it will be addressed to you and you should be able to handle it without anyone else's knowledge. However if it's addressed to someone else, well, you know where that is going now, don't you?
Forget going to the Post Office. They can do nothing. They have a legal obligation to deliver the mail to the addressee at the address on the letter. Unless you were to submit a diversion order it will be delivered as addressed. Whilst you could put in a diversion order for your personal mail, putting one in for someone else is a criminal act. What's more, the Post Office will send confirmation postcards to the addressee at both addresses about the diversion so they would know about it before it took effect.
You've made your bed, now you must lay in it.

You don't mention what state you are in. A couple of years ago, California passed a law that they had to block out the passenger's picture before mailing it to you. Apparently, like you, someone with some money got caught with a person he was having an affair with; the picture was sent to his house; it provoked a divorce; which then gave this person a claim that he was harmed by the act; which then resulted in a court award for damages; which then turned into legislation that blocked the picture of a passenger. If your state doesn't have this law in affect, it probably will pretty soon.

You can try, but one way or another your parents will find out when their car insurance rates go up. Can't hide it forever.

Ok, sorry, I just re-read the question. You are more concerned that your family is going to see you with someone you shouldn't be with than you are with the ticket? If that's the case then you have far bigger issues that you need to deal with than stopping a picture from coming to your house.

I had a ticket from one of those cameras and when it came in the mail i found that my passenger was scrambled out. That was my state. Try to pay the ticket immediately, before it gets to the mail. Who knows you may get lucky. Good luck.

I would worry more about the ticket. You can lie about the other person, the resolution generally isn't that good and the flash can generate a glare. Get the mail every day so you can get the pictures first and hide it!

save your money. if the car is in your name, it will be sent to you, and anyone else opening your mail is subject to arrest.
just don't open it around anyone. get tight with the mail person and get it BEFORE they come to your house.
